The site is located in the Matthof neighborhood in Lucerne city which belongs to the municipality of Horw. The northern facing slope overlooking Lake Lucerne is bisected by a small stream flowing from Bireggwald towards the lake. The property of the charitable foundation of the late couple Werner and Micheline Dittli-Tripault has a size of over 6'000m². The existing villa of the Dittli couple - built in 1966 by Lucerne architects A. and L. Ammann-Stebler - stands on the southeast boundary of the property and will be preserved.

The location and shape of the site determined the development's structure. The concept includes five new apartment Buildings. Along the eastern boundary, three staggered volumes extend from the bottom of the slope to the existing villa along the eastern boarder. The other two Buildings are positioned on the western side, leaving enough room for the outside space and the stream.
